The Pye Family

Hi! We are the Pye Family and we are the faces behind Fit Meal Prep! I’m Bre and this my husband Tim and our two sons. Fit Meal Prep is a hobby turned full time career of something I truly love and a lifestyle upgrade that changed my life!

I have always enjoyed cooking and really began to learn many different types of food once I moved to Stillwater, Ok where I attended Oklahoma State University receiving both my Bachelor’s and Masters Degrees in Animal Science/Meat Science.

During my attendance at OSU I met and married Tim who is from southern Georgia originally.

We were both members of the meat judging team (on different years) and both worked at our on campus meat processing facility and food science building we called FAPC.

During my time at FAPC I not only learned to harvest and completely breakdown meat cuts but also making processed meats, preparing and cooking meats for banquet settings as well as served on research taste panels among many other duties.

My meat judging team experience not only taught me about meat quality and selection but we would spend entire days in processing facilities looking at and sorting different cuts and species of meat. We would often work from before the sun was up til well after dark then drive several hours to the next stop. Along the way, our coach would usually never let us stop at a restaurant that we could get back in Stillwater, we always chose local restaurants and would only stop at chains if we were really desperate or they were regional legends.

Following marriage and grad school we moved to Smithfield, Virginia and I worked in the Research and Development department for about a year. Once we decided to start our family we decided we were going to need some help and that is when we moved back to Guernsey County, Ohio.

Over the years I went back and forth into the workforce but could never find the work life balance I needed.

Tim and I have been on a health journey together since our college days, it was my love of cooking and recent discovery of the Pioneer Woman blog (since she’s from Oklahoma I’ve known about her a long time before she was at Walmart and even met her once at a local book store where she did a signing for her first cookbook) that left us wanting to get in better shape for our upcoming wedding.

We took full advantage of OSU’s amazing rec center and worked out a lot and saw results but really didn’t change our diet a whole lot. As we began to want to maintain and improve on our results we began seeing the need to really change our diet and eat healthier options.

Over time, this evolved in to learning to meal prep, which evolved in to life getting super busy and really relying on that meal prep to keep us on track which has now evolved in to Fit Meal Prep. I would have co workers and friends asking about what I was eating and they would say - you should cook for me and I’ll pay you!

So that’s what I did and those friends told more friends and more and more have enjoyed Fit Meal Prep over the last 6 years!

It is my explorations that inspire a lot of the meals I cook for you and I’m always looking for new and different meals and items you can enjoy throughout your week.

My husband Tim helps me prepare the meals on Fridays and does the Coshocton, Uhrichsville, Newcomerstown and New Philly drop offs for me on Saturdays.

💓Meals are definitely made with love and I appreciate every single person who has ever supported this adventure!💓

❤️Thank you for letting me cook for you and make your life easier throughout your week!❤️
